General Policies (in effect until further notice):

- No entry to anyone unless fever free – under 99F (thermometer will be at desk to check all employees and visitors).
- Anyone who is sick, or feeling sick will not be admitted.
- Masks are mandatory for all employees and volunteers.
- Maintain 6’ minimum physical/social distance between non-family individuals at all times.
- Limit the number of people in the establishment to ensure social distancing at all times.
- Hand-washing or hand sanitizer mandatory upon entry and exit of the gym
- Employees will use of hand sanitizer prior to, and after, touching common use items
- Regular employee sanitation of high touch point areas every two hours with spray bottle and 1000 ppm bleach solution or approved alternate:
- Entry and exit door handles
- All free hand contact points (bars, weights, etc) seats and benches
- All exercise machine contact points (bars, pins, handles, etc), seats, and benches
- Entry
- Gym iPads
- Keyboards
- Computer mouse
- Counter tops
- Microphones
- Vending machine
- Light switches
- Coffee stations
- Drinking fountains
- Bathroom door handles, faucets, stall handles, and sinks
- Gym to provide sanitizing wipes or hand sanitizer and single use towels for gym users to disinfect equipment used
- Additional requirements for gym users:
- Sanitize all free hand contact points as described above
- Sanitize all exercise machine contact points as described above
COVID 19 Prevention Policy:
If you are experiencing symptoms of the virus (fever, difficulty breathing, dry cough, and tiredness):
- Immediately go home and self-isolate until you are fever free without the aid of fever reducing medications. During this time there should be absolutely no exposure to any co-workers or friends or visits to the gym under any circumstances.
- We recommend using the CDC’s Self Checker Guide (middle of the webpage) to help you make the decision of whether or not you should seek medical care.
- *** Please note that this system is not intended for the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other conditions, including COVID-19.
- If you do not have a test to determine if you are affected and contagious, you may return after all three of these things have happened:
- You have had no fever for at least 72 hours (that is three full days of no fever without the use medicine that reduces fevers)
- Other symptoms have improved (for example, when your cough or shortness of breath have improved)
- at least 7 days have passed since your symptoms first appeared
- If you are tested to determine if you are affected and contagious, you return after after all three of these things have happened:
- You no longer have a fever (without the use of medicine that reduces fevers)
- Other symptoms have improved (for example, when your cough or shortness of breath have improved)
- You received two negative tests in a row, 24 hours apart. Your doctor will follow CDC guidelines.
Employment Policies
- Employees must notify HR immediately (jacob@thepadclimbing.org) to record symptom information and discuss potential available sick leave:
- Employee name
- Starting date of symptoms
- Your supervisor’s email
- If you receive a COVID19 positive result:
- Notify HR and your supervisor immediately and work with them to identify and notify any co-workers or gym members you may have been close to in the last 14 days. Those employees should then self-isolate themselves and follow the steps above.
- Ascent management will meet to discuss whether the following steps should be taken:
- Deep cleaning of affected area but continuing to remain open
- Affected area closed for 24 hours. Deep cleaning prior to re-opening to areas the public.
Non-policy, working operational process for using the gym
Our policies are in place are stringent: babysitting until they show they can be respectful and we can loosen it up.
- Reserving Spots:

- Don’t check in within 15 minutes, tough luck, now you wait
- Times will be staggered every other hour for convenience
- Spectators and staff count toward occupancy limits

- If you want to go in again, you have to get in the waitlist, you can’t sign up for more online
